Cook’s Bay Hotel & Suites, Moorea
Cook’s Bay is a place steeped in history, evoking many good memories for the locals and it was closed and unexploited for more than two decades. 25 years after the hotel was forced into bankruptcy it has now been revitalised and will reopen its doors in June 2023. After a 2-year renovation, the hotel is opening with 38 suites, including 2 family suites, each equipped with a kitchenette and a spacious balcony to soak in the picturesque views of the island of Moorea and the crystal-blue lagoon. The suites have been designed with sleek interiors and the hotel has a large outdoor relaxation area and mirror pool as well as a private beach.
The Moorea Island Beach Hotel is located on the west coast of the island of Moorea, facing the lagoon, on top of an idyllic white-sandy beach in the Hauru-Haapiti neighbourhood. Whether for the colour of its lagoon, the towering mountains covered with vegetation, its chilled rhythm of life or for its authenticity that remains intact; Moorea, ‘the sister island’, cannot go unnoticed.
The establishment will have 12 bungalows (ideally for 2 guests), which can be separated into 3 categories: 3 with a sea view, 3 with a partial view to the sea and 6 with garden views. Each of our bungalows is equipped with a double bed, a bathroom (with a shower), air-condition and free Wi-fi access. There’s also a family bungalow in the garden area, which contains 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom, both separated by a common living room area.
The hotel also has a bar, the Lounge House which faces the lagoon and the beach making it the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the blue lagoon.
Construction work began in August 2022, with an opening scheduled for mid-December 2023.
