SUN PEAKS CELEBRATES OPENING DAY: ALL THREE MOUNTAINS AND DIVERSE TERRAIN
NEWS ????
Skiers and boarders explored their favourite resort in the Interior of BC today as they celebrated the launch of the 2022-23 winter season at Canada’s second largest ski area. Thanks to the hard work of the mountain operations team at Sun Peaks, the resort opened all three mountains with 8 lifts and over 20 runs today, offering diverse and expansive terrain. The Sunburst Express, Elevation, Sundance Express, Morrisey Express, Morrisey Platter, Orient, Village Platter and Learning Carpet lifts are all operational, in addition to the Nordic skiing network.
“All three mountains for opening day is a fantastic sign for the season ahead. Seeing our guests and staff coming out energetic and thrilled to be back on the slopes is what it’s all about,” says Aidan Kelly, Chief Marketing Officer, Sun Peaks Resort LLP. “The team and community really stepped up to help make today a success.”
Sun Peaks looks forward to another winter season focusing on exceptional service and facilitating memorable guest experiences. Favourite activities such as the Alpine Fondue & Starlight Descent, Snow Limo Tours, and the Tube Park will return. Following lift closure today, Masa’s Bar + Grill will celebrate the season kick-off with their Lifts and Lager event. The event, in partnership with Granville Island Brewing, includes a free beverage for season pass and day ticket holders, and will feature entertainment from DJ King Kong all afternoon.
