DAY TRIPS BEYOND THE BUSTLING STREETS OF MANILA

Many of those travelling to the Philippines will find themselves with time to spend in the bustling capital city of Manila.  Whilst there are many things to do in Manila, including a range of cultural sites, museums, restaurants and shops, some people may prefer to escape the city, therefore heading into the countryside is the perfect alternative.  The Philippine Department of Tourism recommends a number of destinations to explore, all of which are located just within proximity of the capital.

Ms Norjamin Delos Reyes, Tourism Attaché at Philippine Department of Tourism Australia and New Zealand said,

“Manila is a wonderful metropolis filled with an abundance of things to see and do, however,we understand that the busy capital may not suit everyone’s travel tastes.  What not many people realise is that there a number of stunning destinations just outside Manila, perfectly located for a day trip away from the city. From stunning volcanos and rock formations to ancestral houses and church replicas, there are many places to be discovered which make the city feel like a million miles away.”
