The concept is reflected in Club Med Sahoro’s design, integrating the traditional carvings, weavings and embroideries of the Ainu with a modern sleek aesthetic.
Guest can learn more about Ainu culture and traditions, such as the traditional Ainu attire called ‘Kaparamip’, usually made with Fabric woven from the bark of indigenous trees with distinguishing Ainu patterns traditionally passed down from mother to daughter, each ‘Kaparamip’ design is uniquely different and are evident all over the resort.

Guests can also watch a live cooking station that will showcase Chefs preparing handmade dishes such as soba, ramen and udon noodles.
Mina Mina Specialty restaurant offers a warm and cozy vibe for the whole family with their signature nabe (a variety of hotpot dishes into one) Hotpot. To add to the intrigue, live cooking takes place in an open kitchen concept so guests can see the magic unfold. This must-try dining experience features a traditional nabemono or nabe, served in a heated pot at the table. Guests will be spoilt for choice as they choose from their favourite ingredients including meat, crab, seafood and an assortment of vegetables – taking their meal customisation to a whole new level.
Guests who want a more interactive experience can try their hand at Club Med Sahoro’s Soba Making Class. By following a step-by-step demonstration, guests will learn the traditional Japanese way in making a dish the whole family can enjoy. With 10 persons per class, this activity is perfect for family bonding or even a fun romantic activity to remember with a loved one. Guests also have a choice to take up a Temari (small & ball shaped) Sushi Cooking Class.
Club Med Sahoro’s the Wakka is the ideal spot to unwind and take in the wintery mountain views through expansive bay windows over a tipple and some light bites. In addition, Club Med provides complimentary skiing and snowboarding lessons that allow guests to hone their talent further. A Magic Carpet – a brand new moving walkway that takes adult beginner skiers to the top of the training slope, in a safe and secure manner is also available for easy learning.

This active-play technology is an augmented reality product by Valomotion, which enables two guests to play against each other at any time.
